Witten’s Strength

08Jan09

“I think many times God probably is upstairs and looking down and He’s kinda going, ‘Gosh! Can you imagine? I made that guy! He runs like that. I made that kind of football player.'” -Joe Gibbs, iamsecond.com

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but there is a new video worth checking out on iamsecond.com. It’s everyone’s favorite Dallas Cowboys’ tight-end, Jason Witten. This a great video to send to your friends that are sports buffs! Jason talks about his successes, but not without acknowledging God’s hand in them. “We all know where our blessings come from, and for me, they’re from God. And no matter how many fans come out, or if 100,000 people are cheering, I know that my strength and my ability is from Him.”

Jason is incredibly successful in his career because of His talents, but honestly, we are all given abilities, gifts and talents. How often are we thankful for those things? So think about it. What’s an aspect of yourself that you aren’t normally thankful for? What are some less obvious ways that God blesses us? I’d like your thoughts!
